INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PLAYING OF DOUBLE-HEADERS

  • Double-Headers consist of two separate 60-minute matches (30 minutes each way) to be played on the Home ground of the first-named team for the first match. That Home team MUST confirm the Double-Header with their opponents and the Referee.
  • The Referee's Fee for a Double-Header is £45.00, to be paid to the Referee by whoever is the Home Team for the first match.
The Away Team for the first match is responsible for paying 50% of the Referee’s fee (i.e. £22.50) to the Home Team.
  • The Home team (first-named team) is responsible for phoning/texting in the result of BOTH matches to John Angeli on 07507 849428.
  • Separate teamsheets have to be filled in for each match.
The Home Team provides the teamsheet for the first match and are then responsible for posting it to Trevor Taylor.
The Away Team provides the teamsheet for the second match (which is their Home game), then posting it off to Trevor Taylor.
  • Up to 16 different players to who played in the first match can be used in the second match if teams wish to do so.

MIDWEEK MATCHES

When midweek matches are required in order to ease a team’s fixture backlog, League Fixture Secretary John Angeli will ask the Home Team to pick two suitable dates within that month, then both dates will be offered to the Away Team for them to pick a date.
If the Away Team cannot decide what day to play, then John Angeli will pick the date for the match to take place.

If the Away Team fails to turn up and play the match, then they will be liable for the FULL cost of the pitch and the referee.

They will also be fined by the League in addition to conceding the match to their opponents.
Home Teams must text the result of the match in (as normal) as soon as possible after the final whistle.
