London FA
Continental Football club was founded in 1958 by Mitch Daley and Felix Rodulfo who are honorary presidents. The club was formed due to the lack of opportunities for black players and the racism experienced by Caribbean people in the early years. The team was very successful especially in the eighties when we won the London Cup 4 times, Quarter finalist in the UK FA National Cup and won many league titles in our respective leagues in North London. Most of the players went onto play semi-pro football with a handful playing at a professional level.
Continental is a club of mixed nationalities with everyone embracing the history and how this club was formed.
Over the years the club has added 2 Vets teams to continue promoting wellbeing and continued fitness of all our young and senior players. The Vets teams have been successful in the various leagues, with our newest vets team completing their first season with a trophy. As a club we have embraced and continue our journey to bring football to all ages and nationalities and always making the game enjoyable and respectful.
Continental FC is a friendly multicultural and family orientated club that exists through self-funding and sponsorships. We hold regular events including fun days for our local community. To be a member of Continental FC, playing or supporting, is to embrace the legacy and be part of moulding the future for our younger players and embracing our senior players as part of this football family.
